Book Arts - reduce, reuse...

Our local recycling center gets a lot of hard cover books. I have been looking at projects to reuse them. I really like the jewelry box. You cut out the center of the pages with a precision knife and then glue the pages together along the edge.

What I am going to make first is a case for my electronic book reader family hand-me-down gadget.

DIY Paper Flowers...especially giant ones

I love the "Design Sponge" website, lots of great images and ideas. Here is a post on how to make giant paper flowers.

This is a video link on how to make another type of tissue paper flower. They can also be made on a large scale.

Pinterest

I went to the Pinterest website (http://pinterest.com/). I love it! But now I am on a waiting list so I decided to do my own blog instead. How many inspiring bookmarks have we all saved...never to return. Or when my computer died, I lost all my faves. Japanese baths, home inspirations, DIY projects...these are a few of my favorite things! So I am making a list of things I want to make sometime...
